Let me sum up:
- Dean wrote a lot, including a series: Thrice Told Tales
- Mindy edited most of what Dean wrote as well as a friend's novel
- We moved from Seattle to Martins Ferry, Ohio in January
- The nearest movie theater is in West Virginia, across the river and about 15 miles down I-70
- Dean is a chaplain with Valley Hospice, a non-profit organization covering four counties in Ohio and West Virginia. It's good that he likes driving
- We published a Movie Churches book in 2021
- We visited a lot of zoos while researching Dean's latest book (cowritten with our son, Bret)
- That book is now available! It's suitable for Christmas stockings, Advent calendars, individual reading, family devotions, homeschool classrooms, and anybody who likes cats (especially leopards and lions) or the Bible. Check it out!
We're still adapting to life in this part of the country, but living in a small town means the librarians recognize us, we can walk to church if we want, and we've finally figured out that hearing lots of nearby sirens for five to ten minutes just means there's a parade on Zane Highway celebrating a high school sports victory or a local festival -- and we can usually see it from our front porch.
